Smartphones are all the rage now. It was not too long ago until Nokia dominated the whole market but Blackberry and Apple, with their iPhone, changed the entire landscape. We are now spoilt for choice and deciding what is what is difficult. The basic difference between the mobile phone and smartphone is that the smart phone offers more advanced computing capability, than your ordinary phone. People demand more functionality in their phones.
As well as the regular mobile phone manufacturers, traditional non phone manufaturers are now involved: Microsoft, Palm, Google and Apple. Apple have struch first blow with their iPhone but now there is debate which operating system will dominate, as well as which phone.
